As the wedding season approaches it is always good to provide an outside perspective on ideas from other wedding planners. This video discusses outdoor wedding decor options for your wedding day.
You have made the decision to rent a tent and now it's time to choose the right tent rental business for your event or wedding.
How do you know you have chosen the right tent rental business to service your event?
Everyone that has rented any product has gone through this step in the process and choosing the right tent rental business for your event or wedding is an imporatant decision to make.
We developed a list of 5 key criteria for chosing the right tent rental business to assist you in choosing the right supplier:
Easy of doing business: Choose a company that makes your planning processes (aka. your life) easier
-
Companies now offer online forms to request a quote, information on their website, pictures, video, reviews and more online so that you have the information at your finger tips
-
Companies will work with other suppliers you are utilizing to ensure you have all of the details covered
-
Companies can deliver and set up products for your event so you don't have to worry about those details,
Service: Service levels are sometimes overlooked for price, until you recieve bad service
-
Check out customer reviews on the tent rental business you are searching for
-
Look into their social media channels to see what kind of following or feedback is out there
-
Give the potential tent rental business a call to see what kind attention they provide to your event and solutions/ ideas to enhance your event
Quaility: Make sure the tent rental business you utilize provides a high quality product
-
Tent qualities and cleaniness can range just like any other product
-
Ensure your supplier cleans and maintains the tent regualary
-
Use customer reviews and/or speak with the tent rental business to understand what procedure they use to ensure you obtain a clean tent
Prouduct Offering: Some companies have everything and some have just enough
-
A large variety of inventory is tough to maintain and keep cost competitive
-
Sometimes looking at the suppliers that don't have all of the "bells and whistles" or in the rental industry "100 shades of red" for linens may be a good thing
-
If you are searching for the 100th shade of red, choosing the company that meets that requirement may be a good decision as long as they meet the other criteria
-
Bonus Point: There is a company out there that can meet the expectations of your event, choose the company that best meets your product and service needs
Price: This may be listed last but only because sometimes it goes with out saying
-
Price and coming in under budget, no matter what the event, is extremely important
-
Make sure the tent rental business quoting your event isn't "over building" it by adding in more then requested. Find a supplier that will work with you on solutions to help save you money
We hope that these Top 5 Key Criteria for Choosing a Tent Rental Business should assist you in the decision making process when renting for your next event or wedding. Each event and customer requirements are different, we hope this information is useful for you in finding the right supplier for your event.

Hello! While vacationing in Florida for my sisters wedding in November, I came across a few new, fun and unique competitive games that we were playing on the beach and in the ocean. Those games prompted a discussion of the fun and competitive games that we have played on the beach or at a party in the past.
Naturally, those games needed to be rated.
For this gaming list we are going to put aside the classics of Football, Volleyball, Frisbee and Wiffle Ball (they are classic to us)
Top 5 List of Competitive Beach and Party Games
5. Cornhole : This is a party game that can be played anywhere and often, especially where I am from.
- Players: 4
- Products required: 1 set of cornhole boards and eight cornhole bags (pictured below).
- Rules: Games are played to 21, must win by 2 and you receive 3 points for tossing the bag into the hole and 1 point for landing the bag on the board. Points cancel each other out and each teammate stands on the opposite cornhole board from their partner

Cornhole Boards
4. Ladder Golf: Another game that can be played on the beach or at your next party. This game is competitive and challenging.
- Players: 4
- Products required: 1 set of ladder golf stands and eight bolas (2 golf balls with a string attached).
- Rules: Games are played to 21, must win by 2 and you receive 3 points for tossing the bola on the bottom bar, 2 points for tossing the bola on the middle bar and 1 point for tossing the bola on the top bar. Points cancel each other out and each teammate stands on the opposite cornhole board from their partner
3. Floating Poker: This is a great gambling game that provides the flexibility to be taken from the house into the pool or on a sandbar in ocean to be played.
2. Bear Pong: This is a great spin off of the classic Beer Pong, only this utilizes 5 gallon bucks with sand in them and a ball. Drinks optional
- Players: 4
- Products required: 12 – 5 gallon buckets and 2 balls
- Rules: Each team must throw the ball and land it in one of the buckets to point. Once the ball has landed in the bucket the buket is removed. Teams play to anywhere between 11-21 depending on the skill level, distance and time constraints.
And the number 1 voted game…
1. Bocce Ball: This is one of those games that can be played in the lawn but is in it’s natural habitate beach. It’s a nice mixture of skill and luck to make the game competitive and fun! This game has stood through time and gaming trends.
- Players: 2-4
- Products required: Bocce Ball set and some room to throw
- Rules: A ‘marker ball’ is thrown out into an open area. The person who throws the ball closet to the ‘marker ball’ is considered to be on the inside and closest to the marker. the objective is to get the balls closest to the marker ball to point.
Please note that the games are not tied direclty to drinking(i.e. flip cup), I’ll follow up with that Top 5 list on another blog.

Hello Cincinnati Party Tent Rental followers, welcome to our 2nd Blog Post(I promise I won’t prove to every one that reads our blog that I can count by numbering each post)!
Through working with our customer base via the phone, our A Gogo online order forms or face to face, there are always great opportunities to learn how we can better communicate to our customers
One of the most frequently asked questions is “What is the difference between a pole tent and a frame tent“? When renting a tent, it is best to identify the type of tent needed for your event ahead of time.
In this Blog Post we will detail the features of Pole Tents and Frame Tents and include a link to a short virtual tour of each type of tent. We also have listed 5 basic criteria to think about while identifying the right type of tent for your event
Pole Tent Rental Features
- Oldest and most traditional style tent
- Contain Center poles for the middle and side poles for the perimeter
- Staked every tent feet around the perimeter to provide tension for the tent to stand
- Requires 5ft extra space on each side of the tent in order to stake (i.e. if you are renting a 20×30 Pole tent to accommodate 54 – 60 guest(You know this great info because you utilized ourTent and Table Layout Options, you would require a space of 30'x40')
- Preferably placed on a flat grassy area. A Pole tent can be placed on blacktop but driving the stakes into the blacktop without a jack hammer can be difficult and tiring. In addition the holes should be filled with sand and blacktop filler to bring the black top back to it’s original state.

Frame Tent Rental Features
- Free Standing tent, does not have a center pole(s)
- Assembled utilizing aluminum or steel pipes to build the framework in order to support the tent top
- Does not need to be staked every 10ft around the perimeter
- Counter weights can be utilized to support the tent (i.e. Water Barrels, Concrete Blocks or stakes etc)
- Can be placed on grass, black top or concrete
- Can accommodate more guest per square foot

Below are 5 criteria used to identify the best type of tent for your event:
- Cost: Typically pole tents are less expensive to rent
- Location of the tent: Frame tents can easily be placed on grass, blacktop or concrete. Pole Tents can be placed on both but they must be staked every ten feet. Which is not ideal for residential property’s
- Space Requirements: Frame tents take less space. Pole tents require 5 extra feet on each side of the tent for staking. For example, if you require a 20'x30' Pole tent you would need approx. a flat open space of 30'x40' to accommodate that type of tent.
- Guest to accommodated: per square foot you can fit more people under a frame tent
- Customer preference: it’s the customers choice which tent they prefer to have for there event
We hope this post will assist you in making an informed decision when identifying which tent will best fit your needs. If you still have questions you can always looks us up or subscribe to the A Gogo Event, Party and Tent Rental Youtube Channel; for more virtual tours.
Party on!

Background Check:
This isn’t my first rodeo; while attending the University of Cincinati I worked for a local Event and Party Tent Rental company servicing the Cincinnati, OH tri-state area. For the past 8 years I’ve been talking about launching a Party Tent Rental Company. So, 8 years later, here we are.
On June 3rd, 2011, I boxed up my suits and ties and I resigned from my cushy, fortune 500, cubeland, corporate gig to get outside, smell the fresh air, and focus on my passion in the Party Tent Rental Industry. Like Frank Sinatra, we are going to do this my way.
At the top of the list in doing things ”My way” or the “A Gogo way” is a more customer focused approach, I will discuss more in a future blog on how we operate and our methodology.
As I mentioned, I have a passion for the tent and party rental industry, it’s crazy, I know but I do. For me, there is something rewarding about it.
This passion is a combination of many things:
#1: Working with great customers, getting to know them and listening to their stories. We are in a unique position in this industry because 85% of the time we get to meet people during a time when they are celebrating a milestone in their lives. A son or daughters graduation or wedding, a retirement party, a birthday party, corporate event to reward a companies employees and more. It’s an honor and great to be involved!
#2: The feeling of accomplishment. Being able to transform and build a customers back yard into a party zone by adding a tent, tables and chairs . Converting an open area into an elegant wedding, with wedding tents , high top tables , lighting a dance floor and more. Being able to build something fun and unique and receiving positive feedback from your customers – for me it’s a great feeling.
#3: Being involved in our Community. My wife and I were both born and raised in Cincinnati and with the exception of one year in Los Angeles, we have lived here our entire lives. We have a unique opportunity to work with schools, local communities and fundraisers in giving back and making a difference in our communities and it’s an absolute pleasure.
Thanks for viewing our blog, I hope you enjoyed it, we’ll be back soon for another edition.
You have to “get up, to get down” - Chad
